Every ink supplier's website says the same three words: strong R&D team. After you have read it fifty times, it stops meaning anything.
So here is ours, in the form of what you would actually see if you walked through the door.
The team
Our R&D team is 20+ people, split between ink formulation, chip programming and structural design. Between them they hold 15+ patented technologies,
mostly invention patents on chip and formulation work.
That matters to you for one reason. In this industry, the thing that decides whether you make money on a new printer model is how fast somebody can put
a working cartridge on your shelf.
What happens inside
The formulation bench. Look at the shelves first. Rows of bottles, some brown, some white, each one a different sample. Every ink we sell started here as
a few hundred millilitres in a bottle, not in a factory tank.
The filling station. Once a formula holds up, it moves to a small trial run. Two technicians at the bench, gloves and masks on, filling bottles by hand.
This is where a formula proves it can survive being filled, sealed and stored, before anyone commits a production line to it.
The print test. Then it goes on paper. We print test charts with CMYK ramps and skin tones. Skin tone is the honest test of an ink. You can hide
small colour errors in a grey ramp, but nobody hides them in a face. Your customers will notice on a photo before they notice on a logo.
The measurement. We do not judge colour by eye. A spectrophotometer takes the reading, and we compare it against the target numbers.When
a customer tells us a colour is off, we can measure it, change the formula and measure again. That is a much shorter conversation than arguing
about what looks right.
What we will not tell you
We will not tell you we match every OEM colour perfectly on every paper. Nobody does. If colour is critical to you, send us your paper, we print
a chart on it, and you judge the numbers yourself before you commit to an order.
