Our National Day holiday is coming up, and this one is longer than it looks from the outside. Here is what you need to know before you plan October.

This is not just our factory shutting down
National Day is a nationwide holiday in China. It is not only us. The ink plant, the chip supplier, the carton maker, the trucking company, the customs broker and
the freight forwarder are all on the same calendar.
Everyone stops in the same week, and everyone comes back in the same week. That is why the days right after October 7 are always the busiest of the year, and
why shipments booked after the holiday tend to sit in a queue longer than buyers expect.
And here is the part most people miss
Look at the calendar between the two holidays. Mid-Autumn finished on September 27. That leaves exactly three working days, September 28 to 30, before the
National Day break begins.
Three days. That is the entire window left to produce, pack and hand a shipment to our forwarder before the country closes.
Orders confirmed by September 30 can be shipped before the holiday.
If you resell our cartridges and ink
Your customers do not take a week off. Offices, print shops and studios keep printing through early October, and if your shelf is empty on October 3, it stays empty.
A distributor who orders in the next three days walks into October covered. One who orders on October 8 spends the first week of the month explaining shortages to
their own customers, and by then your competitor has already filled their shelf. October is a buying month in most markets. It is worth having stock for it.
If your own printer is the one that stops
If you run a print shop, an office or a studio, the maths is simpler.
A machine that stops on October 2 stays stopped until your next order arrives. Consumables are cheap to store and painful to run out of.
During the holiday
