How To Print Heat Transfer Film

Heat transfer film is printed as follows:

First, create a high-resolution image. Then, make a dot intaglio electro-engraving plate according to the image size. Mount the intaglio plate on a printing press and print on PET polyester film. Heat transfer film can print thousands of meters of finished patterns within one hour. Mount the heat transfer film on a heat transfer stamping machine for printing. It is easy to operate, and the pattern is formed in one step without color registration.

Heat transfer printing is a new method of printing graphics on a wide range of materials. It is particularly suitable for producing small quantities of personalized and customized goods, as well as for printing graphics that contain full-color images or photographs. The principle is to print the digital pattern on transfer paper with special transfer ink using a printer. Then, a special transfer machine applies high temperature and pressure to transfer the pattern onto the product's surface, completing the printing process.

This method can be used on leather, textile fabrics, plexiglass, metal, plastic, crystal, wood products, coated paper, and other relatively flat materials. It allows for one-time multi-color printing of complex colors and color transitions using digital printing machines. This process doesn't require plate-making, color registration, or complex tanning procedures, and it doesn't damage the material. Since its introduction to the market, it has received high praise from various industries, with an increasing number of factories making repeat purchases.

Heat transfer technology can also use various transfer materials to achieve different printing effects. The most important types are adhesive film transfer and sublimation transfer.

Advantages:

1. Simple printing:
It doesn't require plate-making, exposure, or color registration steps, unlike screen printing and traditional heat transfer methods that need various tools and materials. With a universal printer and an ordinary computer, one operator can independently perform the printing operation. This saves manpower and resources. The process is simple and immediately available, with low experience requirements for operators. Basic knowledge of image processing software is sufficient.

2. No damage:
This method can print on tough materials like crystal, stone, metal, and glass, as well as soft materials like leather, fabric, and cotton. It works on both inorganic and complex organic materials. It offers better material compatibility, avoiding the limitations of screen printing and water transfer printing in material selection. It also avoids the problem of damaging organic materials like leather, cloth, and cotton, which can occur with traditional heat transfer printing. This versatility caters to diverse market needs and allows for more comprehensive production services.
