Canon PFI-320/PFI-120 pigment inks are launched globally: redefining professional-grade printing durability and color standards
[May 7, 2025] Canon, a global leader in imaging technology, today officially released a new generation of PFI-320/PFI-120 dedicated pigment ink series. As the core consumables of professional large-format printers, this product breaks through the industry bottleneck with nano-level pigment dispersion technology and UV-resistant molecular structure, providing a color preservation solution of **up to 100 years* for architectural blueprints, artwork reproduction and outdoor advertising.
Technical highlights
Industrial-grade durability: Passed ISO 11798 lightfastness certification, it still maintains color stability in high temperature and high humidity environments, far exceeding the life of dye inks by 3 times.
Wide color gamut coverage: supports 98% Pantone® color library, especially improving the gradient expression of dark colors (such as Cyan, Black).
Precision ink supply system: Intelligent viscosity adjustment technology reduces the risk of nozzle clogging and reduces printhead maintenance costs by 40%.
"PFI series ink is Canon's precise response to the needs of the professional market," said Li Mingzhe, director of Canon Asia Consumables Division. "We use inorganic-organic composite pigment technology to find the best balance between color vividness and media adaptability."
Currently, the ink has been adapted to Canon's main models such as imagePROGRAF TX-5300/TC-5200, and is now available in authorized channels in the Asia-Pacific region.
*Note: 100-year durability is based on Canon's laboratory accelerated aging test, and the actual effect varies depending on the environment
